Testing as a Service
Speaking of the immediate future, the most entertaining part is probably still waiting for you. A job with an unimagined perspective and the promise of daily challenges that you don't have to be studying for years to achieve. The world of IT, which you enter via software testing, is not so complicated in this scenario. It's just systematic, requires a critical gaze and analytical thinking. Testing Clever Academy is all its own. It's unique because narrowly focused, yet with a broad scope of industries that we as testers can focus on in just a short while. Isn't it time to change course?
It all started in 2015 with the idea of hiring the best testers for testing. Permanently. Uncover their cells to analyze and expose bugs and flaws. Instantly. Open a new route – and for many to demythologize the world of IT as something elusive and challenging to comprehend professionally. Surprisingly. We came up with a comprehensive system called Testing Clever Academy. Since you can usually learn testing only as part of a few engineering programs at universities, even not so in detail, our course teaches everything you need to start making a living as a tester. Thousands of candidates have applied since then to dozens of our testing academies, hundreds of them passing the selection process, and less than a tenth of the best became our colleagues. It's rigorous, but the rewards are worth it.
Yet for some period of time, Cleverlance has been helping people to enter the world of IT. When a certain part of the world became unsafe for so many nice people, who, by no fault of their own, have missed out on a particular stage of professional development, we step in. Our colleagues in testing who speak Ukrainian and Russian enabled their compatriots from Ukraine to gain insight into the field of testing. This Ukraine Testing Academy training program took only a couple of days and was free for the academy participants. Charity? We only decided to make it easier for people coming from the war zone in Ukraine to find a new future. To get a job that will bring them a decent professional career in the Czech Republic and which they will be able to do in their home country when they return.
Cleverlance receives a lot of students who want to gain experience while at school. Once we encountered students were solving projects under ideal conditions there, with no real clash with reality and less practice, we decided to act and prepare youngsters for pitfalls such as budget, staffing and delivery date. As we have been running training courses, the idea of combining them with the recruitment process and basic training came on its own. Shorter than usual, more efficient than ever before, a first 14-day intensive workshop saw the light of day. And since then, there have been many and many more, all free, all widely wanted. Whether participants are comfortable with Java SE or more attracted to Java EE, automated tests, under the constant supervision of our mentors there is enough time to introduce everyone See moreto the rules of testing, the intricacies and features of frameworks, let people smell Liferay or Wicket, try analysis and architecture design. It gives us a chance to choose from people who are genuinely interested – and in turn gives them a chance to try it out on real projects. And if they are particularly good, they get a job offer directly from us, with ongoing support from mentors.
